Glassdoor Management
A rapidly growing client who frequently conducts acquisitions had a problem: Its Glassdoor rating was tanking. The profile raised concerns about leadership and culture, while investors pushed for a stronger public brand. That’s where Next PR stepped in.
THE CHALLENGE
This client’s business model involves acquisitions every 10-18 months, creating challenges in merging teams and maintaining a collaborative culture. M&A-driven restructuring and layoffs resulted in a poor Glassdoor rating (2.8).
Negative employee reviews created misalignment between the company’s public image and internal culture, leading to stakeholder concerns.
HOW WE GOT THERE
Improving the client’s employer reputation became crucial to aligning with its positive business momentum. Next PR started by conducting a Glassdoor audit to analyze ratings, employee sentiment, review patterns and competitor profiles.
Collaborating with the client, Next PR revamped the company’s profile, updating DEI and organizational culture messaging to reflect its people-centric values and mission.
Daily monitoring of the company’s Glassdoor profile was key, with the team crafting thoughtful, timely responses to new reviews. These responses addressed employee concerns, clarified false claims and encouraged direct communication with HR.
Next PR also developed email templates to proactively request reviews from employees at different career stages – including those recently promoted, celebrating work anniversaries and in leadership roles – helping ensure a range of diverse feedback.
